KINETIC SCULPTURE BY JACK PAVLIK AND OUR SUMMER COLORS
EXHIBITION
Sat. June 28th, 2003 August 23rd, 2003
Opening Reception Saturday, from 6-9 PM

Flanders Contemporary Art is pleased to announce our Summer exhibitions.
Flanders Art will be exhibiting the work of Minneapolis based sculptor
Jack Pavlik from June 28 August 28th. This show consists of
three kinetic pieces that Pavlik has said were first inspired by hearing
(and seeing) someone playing musical saw. The interpretation of that
event has resulted in something more industrial music box than "this
is what we used to have to do for entertainment."
Summer
Colors is a bright, splashy, upbeat exhibit featuring new work by
Todd Severson, Woodward Payne and flowers by Andy Warhol
and Janet Fish to name a few.
Please join us for a reception with artist Jack Pavlik
on June 28th from 6pm to 9pm. The exhibition runs thru August 28th.
Flanders Contemporary Art is located at 400 North First Avenue, first
floor in the Wyman Building. Gallery hours are 10 to 5 Tuesday through
Saturday, and by appointment. FFI: Contact Doug Flanders or Tasha Kubesh
at 612-344-1700 or by email at <art@flanders-art.com>.
