NewPaintings by Manel Lledos

Flanders is especially proud to present an exhibition of Manel Lledos' most recent paintings.

These latest luscious paintings of Lledos initiate a period in which the gesture has been subjugated by a lineal geometry. A contemplation-dialogue exists between the static physical limits of the pictorial plane, the dynamics created by the lineal gesture and as well within the symbolical references each painting bestows.

In these last works, precision and spontaneity participate simultaneously throughout the process of painting, exposing us to the eternal myth of our existential duality. Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Manel Lledos now lives and works in New York.

Flanders Contemporary Art is located at 400 North First Avenue, first floor in the Wyman Building. Gallery hours are 10 to 5 Tuesday through Saturday, and by appointment.
